ESL English as a Second Language Classes at DCET

Students develop English skills in listening comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, pronunciation, reading, writing, and conversation to prepare for important English proficiency tests with a combination of online and presential classes practicing everyday life skills.
ESL LEVEL I
DCET’s “La Escuelita” in Irving is considered a CCA (Centro Comunitario de Aprendizaje) a Community Learning Center by the TEC of Monterrey University in Mexico. Our ESL (English as a Second Language curricula) includes this university's "English Basic for Daily Life" curricula with14 modules.
ESL LEVEL II Intermediate
ESL students transition to Duolingo.
An online platform that includes a language-learning website with mobile App access offers the student a digital language-proficiency assessment exam.
ESL LEVEL III Advanced
Students learn the skills they need to succeed in life, then transition to higher levels of English language. TRANSITIONS is all about advanced grammar and composition and is designed for high and advanced ESL students and provides intensive instruction in public speaking, reading, vocabulary building, listening and writing skills. A great asset is its focus on listening, academic vocabulary, classroom communication, and American English pronunciation.
